PROTECTING PEOPLE
AND OUR PLANET
THROUGH MORE SUSTAINABLE FARMING.
As individuals, families, communities, and collective humanity, we are facing a crossroads as we look to the future of our health and food sources. This challenge presents an opportunity to consciously shift how we farm and what we eat, getting back to the basics. We do this by empowering local farms and communities through training and implementing best management practices in sustainable agriculture.
50%
OF U.S. PRODUCE GOES BAD BEFORE IT GETS TO THE GROCERY STORE.
It takes up to 8 days for produce to travel from the farm to your grocery store. It is often picked before ripening and sprayed with chemical preservatives along the way.
Eating locally helps reduce food waste, eliminates unnecessary preservatives, and provides health and wealth to local communities.
70%
OF THE WORLD’S CONSUMPTIVE WATER IS USED BY AGRICULTURE.
Our aquifers are being over-pumped and heavily depleted.
Implementing best management practices in agriculture helps reduce our overall water withdrawal and protects our planet.
90%
OF OUR FARMING SOIL IS NOT FERTILE.
Our fields have been overworked for generations.
Soil needs time to replenish. Most modern farming practices have replaced patience with fertilizers, making the soil just “good enough” for growing our food. These fertilizers are filled with phosphorus, nitrogen, and potassium. What is not used by the crops turns into runoff flowing into our rivers, lakes, and Aquaphor. This runoff disrupts the ecosystem and causes our fresh water to become salty.
Implementing best management practices in agriculture helps rebuild our soil. Naturally.

KIDS IN THE U.S. GO TO BED HUNGRY EVERY DAY.
Implementing sustainable farming solutions in food deserts in the U.S. helps provide children with vibrant, life-giving food year-round.
FARMING OF
THE FUTURE
The time is now to think differently about how we farm and what we eat. By empowering our small, local farms with sustainable farming solutions, they empower their families and communities with health and wealth.
Our vision is to implement this model worldwide. And we have already begun.
Utilizing Controlled Environment Agriculture, we are able to introduce organic farming wherever food is needed most year-round. These farmers can grow larger varieties of foods, rebuild their soil, and minimize their water withdrawal, having a positive impact on the global ecosystem.
The time is now to PROTECT OUR PEOPLE AND OUR PLANET through more sustainable farming.

Setting the Bar for Sustainable Agriculture
The Center for Sustainable Agriculture Excellence and Conservation (CSAEC) develops and uses best management practices in sustainable agriculture to assist farmers and future farmers. These practices have been developed by seasoned farmers, colleges/universities, and industry experts to educate the public, businesses, schools, nonprofits, and governmental entities on how BMP (best management practices) can change the way we farm in the future.
